Welcome to Kría Aerial Arts, where we believe in the power of aerial silks to transform lives! Our mission is to provide an encouraging, inclusive environment that prioritizes safety and progressive education to foster confidence, allowing students to achieve the seemingly impossible.
 

At the heart of Kría Aerial Arts is an inspiring founder with a genuine passion for aerial silks – Lauren Charnow. With an impressive 14 years of experience in this captivating art form, Lauren's journey began in New York City, where she honed her skills and fell in love with aerial silks. She proceeded to teach and learn educational methods in various US cities including Chicago IL and Atlanta GA before traveling internationally to study at various circus institutions abroad. 
 

Driven by the desire to share this transformative artform with a wider community, Lauren set her sights on Iceland. Her vision was clear – to create an accessible curriculum that empowers students to challenge themselves, conquering feats they once thought unattainable.
 

Kría has always been guided by three main principles:
 

​Safety: Safety is at the heart of our teaching philosophy. We provide carefully designed progressions that allow students to build their skills gradually, ensuring they feel comfortable and secure as they reach new heights. Your well-being is our top priority. Our instructors are even experienced at teaching people who are scared of heights!
 

Your own journey: At Kría, we take a personalized approach to teaching, ensuring that each student receives the attention and guidance they need to thrive. Whether you want to take aerial silks for fitness, to just try something new, or to one day perform, our teachers will meet you exactly where you are at with your goals.
 

Community: By joining Kría you are becoming part of a flourishing and supportive circus community in Iceland. We support and respect each other in class ​and many people have made lifelong friendships through aerial classes. We often regularly also host social events like hikes and barbecues. If you are shy, new to Iceland, or simply looking for more friends you will find them in our classes.
 

Whether you're an absolute beginner or a seasoned aerialist, our diverse range of classes caters to all levels.
